Write On! Copy - For all your copy needs...
Meaning can get lost in communication, which is why clarity and precision reigns King. In our cluttered, media-centric world, we want to cut to the chase with language that is simple yet engaging. And that is why words matter. As George Bernard Shaw points out, saying or writing something doesn’t necessarily mean the message is received.
Starting a new business? Revamping your web copy? I like to borrow from the ethos of Seth Godin and deliver in making meaningful connections between business owners and potential customers.
If storytelling is something that connects us as humans, how is it something we can incorporate into the world of business, without it being a contrite, gimmicky sales technique?
How can we use stories as a legitimate and authentic way of building business around our community through engagement, rather than empty, tired, well-trodden hype? And more so, why should we share our brand’s story? Do potential clients or customers really care? Does it matter if they know how it all began? The who, what, why, where and when? The answer lies in finding common ground with your target audience, cutting through the noise and (something big corporates often miss,) connecting with authenticity.
Words should be compelling, persuasive and cliché free. The right words (with the right tone) need to accentuate not only your brand’s business but also focus on its unique point of difference. Long story short, if your business copy fails to engage, you’ve lost potential business. Successful copy however, converts visitors to customers.
We’re all busy and when time is tight, your audience want answers immediately, a clear sense of what’s on offer, who’s who and what’s what, all wrapped up with a personalised touch that reflects your business’s key messages.
That’s where Write On! Copy can assist with copy that sings. I can write for different audiences and translate the complex technical into something easily digestible and relevant.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Public Relations and have worked as an associate to a number of public relations firms where media releases, newsletters, flyers, newspaper and magazine articles, brochures and social media updates were the order of the day. I am continually upskilling and I’m also a former Secondary English Teacher, (which makes me a stickler for grammar,) and am Principal to writing and brand management thinktank puffinthink. I also continue to write feature articles as a freelance writer.
